Scientists have calculated, that the sea level in 5-6 years in the Netherlands will be so high, that the Dutch water defense system around the region of Amsterdam will not be able anymore to handle the water level down. Even if they would upgrade their water system and dikes, the costs with reaching almost 20% of the GDP of Netherlands are be beyond all prices.

This leads unavoidable to the effect, that the water level will be increased to a level, where most buildings of Amsterdam will be flooded and the whole region will be uninhabitable.

These fact gave alarm to the European Union and they thought about different measures they could perform.

Considering all costs the cheapest variant to solve this problem, is, to actually buy the 219 square kilometers of land, which is the size of Amsterdam in Germany close to the city Nordhorn. This region is close to the Dutch border and belongs to the country of Bentheim. Their Count ‘von Eugen’ decided to support this project, since the great-great-aunt was Dutch. He offered his land cheaper than usual, since he call sell almost 87% of his land by moving the whole city.

City planners hired by the EU also had given notice, that in that landscape of the region around Nordhorn is almost perfect to actually build up the city almost in the same shape as before. Currently Dutch workers and water engineers are sent out starting to dig the new channels circular as we all know it from the city center of Amsterdam.

They expect to build up Amsterdam in about 10 years, but already 40% of the population of Amsterdam will be able to live in their new homes in about 3-4 years.

To cover, that all people of Amsterdam will be able to leave the region other measurement are taken to give people shelter.

Part of the measurements are all the other countries in the European Union, which have to receive people from the Netherlands and offer them their shelter.

The result is a new law, which will be enacted by the EU in two weeks from today, at the 14. March 2012. Families outside the Netherlands with more then 20 square meter per person have to receive one person from Amsterdam in their homes up to the level, that they reach the level of 20 squre meter per person.
To execute this law families, which are refusing can be fined with 5000 € per person.

To avoid a massive stream of people to one family, there is the rule, that every family with one child has to adopt a new born Dutch. For families with an income of more then 35,000 € per year or owning two cars have follow the same instructions.

The project is called ‘Sloof Lir pa’, which is a mixture of Dutch and Latin and means ‘the moving city’.

Dropbox hatte mir eine schöne e-Mail geschrieben: “Herzlichen Glückwunsch, deine App ist in den Produktionsstatus übergegangen! Du kannst jetzt [..] deine App allen Dropbox-Benutzern zur Verfügung zu stellen.“

Somit ist meine Andwendung, die per Dropbox API auf Ihre Bilder in Ihrem persönlichen Dropbox Verzeichnis zugreifen und die in einer schicken Coverflow präsentieren kann, online!

Das “uno-actu” Prinzip besagt, dass bei Dienstleistungen die Leistungserstellung und die Leistungsabgabe identisch sind.

Im Prinzip bedeutet das, dass die Leistung im selben Moment, in dem sie produziert wird, auch gleichzeit konsumiert wird.(1)

Ein Beispiel könnte sich da beim Besuch eines Frisöres finden lassen:

Der Haarstylist (Dienstleister) schneidet (Leistungserstellung) dem Kunden die Haare (dem externem Faktor). Gleichzeitig fallen dem Kunden die Haare vom Kopf und das Ergebnis ist sichtbar (Leistungsabgabe).

Dieser Grundsatz gilt, weil im Gegensatz zu Sachgütern bei Dienstleistungen keine lager- oder transportfähigkeit besteht.

Today I thought about the relationship models and the differences between facebook and twitter.

Personally I find twitter a better tool for building up relations and communication than facebook because of 5 reasons:

1. Twitter is about following and not about requesting friendships. I may talk here specifically about the word “friend”.

Real good friends (where you talk about your feelings and your private stuff) in life you have not more then finger on your hands – then probably 10-15 other in your daily routine (which you tell your daily stories or s.th.)  - and the others are more or less buddies or favor relations (favor in terms of – you think about they can do a favor for you – or you a favor for them) – the “rest” is not really relevant – since you probably have forgotten where you have met them … and since twitter uses “following” and “followers” I interpret this word as more fitting… – and really aren’t you happy, that you don’t have to follow everybody? And even then if you cross an interesting person and follow them – you always give them the chance – to let them decide weather they follow you back or not.

2. Twitter is about making the message as short as possible – the best idea ever – to have not more than 160 character. As I am German I have to admit – in our language it is even most difficult to drop a message inside a 160 words message – since – we 1. have much longer words – 2. we don’t have so many abbreviations for words e.g. thank you -> tnk u, think -> tnk, like -> lk, friendship -> frndshp. We would write thank you -> Danke Ihnen(formal)/Dir(non fomal), friendship -> Freundschaft… etc. but really – our tweets are longer – and we first would need to invent a short message language… therefor English is the perfect language for keeping it short (and international) – I am just remembering the KISS…

3. Twitter has no barrier – in facebook you need start a study to understand the easy security model…

4. Twitter is secondly about films, music, other media – in facebook we find ourselves often distracted by checking pictures or ending up in YouTube watching not only the video our “friends” have posted.

5. TweetDeck is because of Twitter – not because of facebook

My conclution is:

I heard, saw and read about people complaining that if they follow somebody – that if they don’t follow back – then – they might have their reasons for it. And probably if you push them – they might not have even the chance to build up an own independent interest in you or let’s say your message.

1. So give people you follow their time – and if they might follow back – I believe it is more honest then accepting a steadily popping up friend request on facebook of the person you might want to avoid…

2. If people don’t follow you, you might have nothing interesting to present or it might be not very positive.

3. English is the perfect language for Twitter

4. Short text which is creating an “image” of a thought (in that case) more valuable then 1000 words

5. Use TweetDeck or HootSuite if you aren’t already doing it to schedule tweets

Mein Schnappschuss ist mit viel Liebe und Zuneigung entstanden und ich hoffe, dass dieser Schnappschuss in die Geschichte eingeht. – Und nein, der Schnappschuss ist keine HDR Aufnahme – sie wurde lediglich mit iPhoto ein wenig herausgearbeitet.

No, I don’t wanna blame anyone – but I don’t understand, why people are still laughing their asses of, while the media is showing pictures, while millions of families are ruined and thousands of people are dying…

I recommend: Please shut up, be quiet and stay at least one day without being fucking funny or ‘I’m VIP’. I excepted more tactfulness.

Just think about what people (maybe even in your contact list – which are DIRECTLY affected by this) might think about you…

Somehow, I see the world as a little bit “as media and film polluted” and we are not even more able to differ between action movies and the reality.

Aber eigentlich ist es ein interessanter Ansatz in der Qualitätssicherung. So kommt ein Kunde in den Laden um sich ein Auto anzuschauen.

Sicherlich setzt er voraus, das die Basismerkmale vorhanden sind – also solche Dinge wie Bremse, Licht und weitere Dinge – die Ihn nicht eigentlich glücklich machen würde, wenn sie nicht vorhanden sind. Nein er würde sogar eher einen Schritt zurück machen, und ängstlich aus dem Laden rennen, wenn diese fehlen würden. Noch schlimmer, er würde es allen anderen weiter erzählen, was im Endeffekt am Unternehmensimage kratzen würde.

Da zum guten Glück jedes Auto solche Dinge hat, interessieren ihn doch mal eher die Leitungsmerkmale die das Auto mit sich bringt. Eine ordentliche Beschleunigung, würde ihm auch sicherlich helfen, eine schnellere Kaufentscheidung zu treffen. Ja, und mit der guten Beschleunigung würde seine Zufriedenheit auch bei den hügeligsten Bergen mit ansteigen.

Doch dies würde nicht unbedingt überglücklich machen. Mit der neuen Begeisterungstechnik in dem neuen Autoradio, das nun auch Eier kochen kann, sorgt das Auto mit seinem einzigartigem Begeisterungsmerkmal für großes Aufsehen.

Doch der Kunde sagt, dass haben wir schon vor 20 Jahren gehabt und setzt es sogar voraus. Somit wurde so schnell mal aus einem Begeisterungsmerkmal ein Basismerkmal.

Weiterhin deutet der Autohändler auf den Kaffehalter im Rücksitzbereich, kinderlose Ehemann ist schein von diesem unerheblichen Merkmal wohl nicht sonderlich begeistert zu sein.

Er klagt lediglich über den Rostfleck auf dem Heckspoiler, einem offensichtlich rückweisendem Merkmal und verlässt den Laden.

After some investigation I figured out, that the permalink is written in the page_name in each posts wp_posts table.

Then figured out, that the WordPress function get_page_by_path($page_path, $output = OBJECT, $post_type = ‘page’) could solve my problem.

So, then I just called this method with the given permalink as path and it worked.

So for example, have permalink of our website http://www.mywebsite.com/about and we want to have that page object of the about – page:

$permalink = 'about';

// get the page object from the permalink
$page = get_page_by_path($permalink);


This was performed on a WordPress 3.0.1.

Furthermore people might not get rid of a wall or a door just to place the speakers.

So finally, mankind had a better idea. Try to get much sound out of your already available 2 speakers. And really, it sounds amazingly good!
