The issue

Inexorable growth of data
With the beginning of the information age the inexorably growth of the internet increased the amount of data on an exponential level. But at the same time humans are the quite same as they have been yesterday. They all have the same characteristics and abilities With the same nose, hands and also the same organs, they are not able to process more information at the same time.
Over the years economy and science were trying to stand the information flood by providing the right information to the right people. The approach was to build information systems which are able to centralize a huge amount of information. But unfortunately, every system before social networks are new island separated to each other and far away from people.

Without mashups
As a matter of fact, every new single software and platform has a different purpose, ideas, layout and usability – when you have luck. However, the major issue is, that you have to visit and understand all the single islands to get whole overview. For that reason the more and more people are not disburdened by those systems, au contraire, they are more and more overwhelmed with all the information provided at the same time on each of those islands.

The issue
The main issue is that those information systems are, firstly: They are running separate from each other, secondly: Before social networks, they so far haven‘t provided the social aspect of the real world.
